Practice Makes Perfect is a small company based in Albuquerque, NM, and is run by Larry Donahue, an attorney and Internet exec who has a number of great friends in high places. Larry is a seasoned high-tech business executive and attorney, specializing in contracts, negotiations, transactions, intellectual property and Internet law. He boasts over 20 years of business development and IT consulting experience. His clients range from small startups to the Fortune 50, including GE Capital, Bank One, IBM and Amadeus.
He held leadership positions in numerous successful enterprises, including SpaBoom, FatCow Web Hosting, Baker Robbins & Company, and Leapnet, Inc. His accomplishments include:
- SpaBoom: Helped build SaS business from scratch, and captured 12% of the spa/salon market within 3 years.
- FatCow: Helped turned around this hosting company, growing its accounts from 3,000 to 30,000 within 3 years, and overseeing an acquisition of the business for double the going market valuation for such a company.
- Leapnet: Helped close or capture over $3M in e-commerce projects within the first four months of employment.
- Practice.com: Built e-commerce platform within 4 months, closed seed round of funding within 6 months.
- Baker Robbins: Created (from scratch) an IT consulting practice group of 30 consultants and $5.4M yearly revenues.
- IBM, US Army, GE Capital: IT project management, consulting and development experience with the big guys.
Larry holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. He is licensed to practice law in the States of New Mexico and Illinois, and is a registered patent attorney with the US Patent and Trademark Office. Larry appeared on the New Mexico Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” in 2003 and 2004.
